Brazilian model Alexandre Cunha was paired with a three-year-old moptop to showcase Smalto’s matching child-sized and adult tuxedos. Unfortunately, while the pressure of performing didn’t faze the buff Brazilian, his partner broke down in tears as they were striding the catwalk:

Once, I was supposed to close a show with a 3-year-old kid and we both had matching outfits. During rehearsal, everything went as planned, but on the day of the show he started crying halfway down the runway, so in my head I thought, “What am I supposed to do?!” I ended up picking him up and I carried him to the end of the runway.

“Through”, this series I chose to put out into the world my everyday battle with depression and anxiety. For anyone else who suffers from this, know how hard it is just to get out if bed every morning.

I couldn’t take that feeling anymore.

So I decided to express myself the only way I knew how, visually. I wanted to document the struggle that takes place to push through and battle depression. So I chose to have a model push and tear and shred her way through various types of fabric until she was able to almost break through.

I still deal with depression and anxiety everyday, but I know that it’s not worth it to give up anymore. And I push through.

This is my series titled “blank”. This project was all about overcoming being so self-conscious. So I found the one thing that I liked about myself and eliminated all the other factors to my face leaving just my lips.

The lips to be are a thing a beauty. They are constantly moving on a persons face and yet they never change.

They hold expression and in one move can change the entire emotion of a face.
